Architects from the international architectural bureau “Oleg Klodt architecture & design” have designed premium entrance hall interiors for three blocks of the new residential complex “Metropolia”: Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and Veliky Novgorod. The concept behind each lobby allows visitors to experience the character and atmosphere of the cities, as well as their history and architecture.

Oleg Klodt: “As an architect, I was fascinated by the challenge of capturing the essence of these three great Russian cities within the entrance areas of the ‘Metropolia’ residential complex.” Vladivostok, Veliky Novgorod and Yekaterinburg are modern metropolises with a rich, centuries-old history, each possessing a very strong and unique character, expressed not only in their architecture but also in their natural surroundings and the people who live there. When we set out to work on this project, it was important to us to make the lobby interiors recognisable, but we did not want to simply recreate miniature versions of each city’s main landmarks. As a result, we explored the urban fabric and reinterpreted iconic architectural and cultural landmarks, creating a unique atmosphere for the public spaces with a fresh, contemporary twist.”
