The residential complex “STORIES”

The Oleg Klodt architectural bureau designed public spaces of the residential complex “Stories” in the aesthetics of Japanese minimalism in the shoji style. The design concept is based on creating a stylish and functional living space with an emphasis on simplicity and elegance. The harmony of the five elements – water, fire, wood, metal and earth – emphasises the beauty of nature. For example, the muted shine of brass in the finish symbolises metal. The energy of earth is conveyed by bonsai and living plants. Furniture and many individual products made of natural wood symbolise wood, while the bio-fireplaces in the lobby symbolise fire. Water is symbolised by the relief inserts on the walls.
