A timeless interior design for a family with two children

Oleg Klodt architecture & design bureau created a 243 square metre apartment for a family with two children. The architects created a timeless interior, as if the family had owned the flat since it was built and passed it down from generation to generation. The result is a mix of modern Parisian and old Moscow styles.

The clients have travelled extensively in Europe and are the art and history lovers. Their insight and taste helped us to work together on this project. This is not the first time the architects have worked with the clients: in 2010 Oleg Klodt and Anna Agapova created the interior of the first apartment for them, and six years later the family bought another flat on the same floor. The architects’ main task was to add a new area to the new apartment, while preserving the existing interior of the first flat, so that there was a sense of a single space.

As a result of the redesign, the architects increased the space of the kitchen-dining room, created a large living room with a dining table for family dinners and a separate bedroom for the adult daughter. The former dining room has been converted into a study.
