Oleg Klodt and Anna Agapova were invited to a formal cocktail party at the official Residence of the French Ambassador, Monsieur Jean-Maurice Ripert to mark the opening of a Retrospective covering the legendary House of Liaigre. The guests at the event including members of Moscow's business elite, cultural figures and leading personalities in the arts from both France and Russia. Guests were shown twelve iconic design objects created by Christian Liaigre - the maestro of minimalist chic - over different periods of his creative career. The furniture created with the inherent modest elegance of the House of Liaigre is distinguished by its tersely laconic designs and unusual textural materials - special kinds of leather, rosewood, blue-black marble, high-gloss varnished oak,and patinated black and white bronze. The legendarily cordial atmosphere of France filled the evening, and guests had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by pianist and composer Vladimir Sverdlov-Ashkenazy, famed for this improvisation skills. The delights of French haute cuisine were savoured by all.
